From April 9 to 11, Cannes hosted the Mineral Recycling Forum 2025, a benchmark event for the minerals industry organised by IMFORMED – Industrial Mineral Forums & Research. Among the protagonists there was Luca Pala, Research and Development Director of FLUORSID, who participated to present LIFE-SYNFLUOR.
With a speech entitled – The LIFE-SYNFLUOR project: High purity synthetic fluorspar and precipitated silica from hexafluorosilicic acid – Pala engaged the attending stakeholders and other industry experts by explaining the details of the project co-funded by the European Union under the LIFE programme. “It was exciting to see the interest shown by the audience in the project, in the possibilities it can offer, and in the future applications of new resources obtained from industrial by-products” – said the R&D Director about the event.
As the world moves steadily towards a more sustainable future, the circular economy is becoming a crucial priority in all fields. These events are essential to exchange ideas, explore new paths and remind everyone that real change happens when companies, institutions and people join forces, day after day, step by step.
